Heavenly Father, We are excited that tomorrow is the election that millions of Americans have been waiting for, working for and praying for.  We always turn to You and “PRAISE THE NAME OF GOD FOREVER AND EVER, FOR HE HAS ALL WISDOM AND POWER.  HE CONTROLS THE COURSE OF WORLD EVENTS; HE REMOVES KINGS AND SETS UP OTHER KINGS.  HE GIVES WISDOM TO THE WISE AND KNOWLEDGE TO THE SCHOLARS.”  (Daniel 2:20-21 NLT)

At this time we don’t know how many millions of people have already voted, what the weather will be like on election day or the eventual turnout around the country.  But millions of Americans are set in several different camps:  liberals, conservatives and independents.  So they vote accordingly.  This year the economy is the main reason for casting a vote for or against a candidate.  Government spending that causes debt at the federal and state level and locally is frustrating for voters, the tax payers who are obligated to pay higher and higher taxes because of poor decisions by elected officials.

We look to You to guide voters to their local polls throughout America.  We pray that those elected officials who have not exhibited respect for their duties in office and to their constituents will be voted out of office in tomorrow’s election.  We pray that honest men and women will be voted into office throughout America.  We pray that new legislators will exhibit integrity, honor and a profound respect for the Declaration of Independence and U. S. Constitution that will enable citizens to trust their legislators once again.

Americans realize what is at stake—the loss of their religious freedom granted us by the First Amendment of the U. S. Constitution.  So we pray that millions of Americans will wake up on Tuesday, first pray to You for wisdom and guidance, then head to the polls to vote their values and install new leadership in America that truly respects the God who lives in heaven.  And always we praise You for the outcome of all elections.  In Jesus’ Name ~ Amen
