Heavenly Father, We are grateful to You every day for provisions in our U. S. Constitution that give us three co-equal branches of government.  The Executive, Legislative and Judicial.  Laws are to be proposed, debated, passed by both representative houses, then signed into law by our chief executive, the President.  When problems arise, they are litigated for justice.

That is why you encourage us to SPEAK UP FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES; ENSURE JUSTICE FOR THOSE BEING CRUSHED.  YES, SPEAK UP FOR THE POOR AND HELPLESS, AND SEE THAT THEY GET JUSTICE.  Proverbs 13:8-9 (NLT)  Lord, the election will be decided in two more weeks and more and more Americans are now classified as being crushed, poor and helpless, through no fault of their own.

Laws and regulations have been enacted that are not Constitutional.  Legislators in one House pass legislation but legislators in the other House refuse to even debate must less vote on proposed legislation.  Gridlock is the result.  And the President “can’t wait” on Congress, so he’s signed numerous Executive Orders which become law within 30 days unless challenged.  Why will no one challenge the unconstitutional aggressive power grab of the Executive branch of government usurping the power of the others?

Americans are drowning in debt not of their own making.  Millions are on food stamps, unemployed and underemployed and living on their remaining savings.  Our children and grandchildren will not inherit better life–they are being enslaved every single day by the addition of $4 billion of new debt at the national level.

Lord, we come to You seeking the selection of honorable legislators in House and Assembly races, for Senate seats, for Governors and for President.  We need debt reduction.  We need smaller government.  We need sensible regulation that achieves the intended purpose:  regulate an activity, not strangle that activity.  We need jobs in America so that we can take care of our own families.  We need to be responsible for our own lives instead of dozens of government programs which, in reality, replaces dependence on a loving God.  And we remember the 53 million babies that have been aborted since 1973 when Roe v. Wade was made the law of the land by the U. S. Supreme Court.  We need to see that they get the justice they deserve.

Please forgive us for the foolish path we took and help us to return to You.  Yes, Lord, we need You and Your solutions over any government program.  Thank You for hearing our prayers.  We need a miracle, not more government programs.  In Jesus’ Name ~ Amen
